As fiercely independent as ever, Heavenly pair sharp-edged lyrics with buoyant, unapologetic pop on Highway To Heavenly. The album reconnects with the musical instincts that shaped their four 1990s records, while speaking directly to the present moment with clarity, warmth and resolve.Across the record, pop takes many forms: disco-leaning swagger, fizzing punk energy, pointed social commentary and moments of genuine tenderness. The songwriting moves easily from satire to celebration to loss, always anchored by strong hooks and a collective voice that feels both defiant and welcoming.
