Mayhem - Mediolanum Capta Est - LP

Label: Peaceville

This live album was recorded during a performance at the Rainbow Club in Milan, Italy, in November 1998. The lineup features the returning original Mayhem vocalist Maniac, along with Hellhammer on drums, Necrobutcher on bass, and Blasphemer on guitar. The show also features a guest appearance by current Mayhem vocalist Attila Csihar on the track “From the Dark Past.” With its well-captured sound and Hellhammer’s noticeably stunning drumming, the band themselves considered it worthy of an official release, as Mayhem storm through a strong set full of classics from earlier releases “Deathcrush” and “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas” to the post-Euronymous compositions featured on “Wolf’s Lair Abyss.”
