Although it may sound like the reissue of an overlooked gem from ’79, it isn’t. On their latest EP, Ceremoney have hit the bullseye with four songs that are a marvel of melodies and energetic guitars, taking you to the best of power pop, with touches of mod revival, one foot in the British Invasion and the other in punk. If you’ve been waiting for someone to bring back the sound and urgency of Starjets, Strangeways or the Jam of ’In the City’, this is the record for you.
