What words can we find for a band whose songs and nearly 15-year career transcend literal language; when the emotions brought to the surface, the sweat, the euphoric celebration and the embrace with a stranger become the ultimate expression of their music, attitude, trajectory and honesty? The romantic nostalgia that inhabits the brotherhood formed by Yago, Pol and Arnau contrasts with the brilliant future that has always awaited the Barcelona trio, especially after signing with Sonido Muchacho, the label that would release the works that catapulted them further: ‘Un Sentimiento Importante’ (LP, 2017), ‘Romance Romántico’ (EP, 2019), ‘Siento Muerte’ (LP, 2020) and the collaborative EP ‘Rock y Amistad’ (2021). Once again, and just when we needed them most, they return to the fray with new singles that preview the new era they are on the threshold of, and in which, of course, everyone is invited this 2023“This is Mujeres' sixth full-length album, crafted with passion and tranquility during a strange time.” This is how Yago Alcover, Arnau Sanz and Pol Rodellar, the three members of the Barcelona band, define their new work. A reckoning with reality and with themselves that confirms—it was already known, but it never hurts to state it again—that there are few bands capable of infusing their music with that level of emotion. The perfect group: fans who are not fans but friends. Songs that immediately become anthems. Concerts that are embraces.
On a sixth album marked as important and necessary, they open the door to highly emotionally resonant mid-tempos, such as the beautiful Diciendo que me quieres or Una pasión concreta, pure pop. They also add psych organs like the tremendous Si piensas en mí, proving that this may be the most sonically ambitious work of their career. Horizontal en llamas, the golden closer of the EP (and, nevertheless, the first preview of the Desde flores y entrañas era). A musical kaleidoscope that traverses moods and makes it clear that the Barcelona trio is delivering some of the best songs of their career. And that is saying a lot, considering that this is a band in continuous growth and improvement. Desde flores y entrañas was recorded and produced by Sergio Pérez at Malkmaier Studios in January 2023. It was mixed by Sergio himself in the following months and mastered by Víctor García at Ultramarinos Mastering in May. The (wonderful) design is the work of Pol Rodellar, Mujeres' bassist, and it is released on vinyl and digital

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0805/0475/0407/files/Captura-de-pantalla-2023-10-06-a-las-11.14.33.png?v=1792863488
